About

Hi, I'm Faith.

I'm glad you're here.

I started my journey to becoming a therapist when I was a teenager in South Carolina, as I sought therapy for my own struggles with depression and anxiety. During this time, I also lost several friends to alcohol and drug overdoses and knew there was something wrong in the world and that I needed to help. Thanks to my therapist, my family, and my friends, I discovered my calling of helping others move through their own mental health struggles.

After deciding on my career path, I went to college at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina (go 'neers!). I finished my undergraduate degree and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology and a focus on Human Services. Before leaving the south for graduate school, I worked in various mental health and medical settings to continue moving toward my goal of becoming a therapist.

I moved to Colorado in 2016 to attend The University of Denver, where I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. During the program, I interned at an after-school program for underserved neighborhoods and later, a residential substance use treatment facility for homeless men. I transitioned into an employment position at the latter facility when I graduated in 2018 and remained there until mid 2020.

After thousands of hours of experience after graduation, I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) here in Colorado. I am also a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) and have completed basic training in both eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and brainspotting. I am passionate about helping adults heal from past traumatic events through psychoeducation and developing a genuine therapeutic connection in our sessions.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside doing anything in the sun, including hiking, running, cycling, swimming, and just laying out next to the water. I love reading fiction novels, doing arts and crafts, playing video and board games, and cooking. I spend most of my time with my husband and our little black cat watching TV shows and movies on the couch.

I'm passionate about genuine self-expression and will encourage you during every session to begin to love yourself more and more. If you think we'd be a good fit, I'd love to speak with you, so don't hesitate to reach out!
